What first attracted us to the Cove was the ability to walk to shopping, restaurants, movie theaters and a park. An added bonus was the short bike ride to the Legacy Trail, the 11 minute drive to Siesta Key Beach and 20 minutes to downtown Sarasota. After spending time here, however, we realized that it was more about what was within the community: the year-round activities that we are engaged in, the many friendships we have formed and the lifestyle we have created. Yes, the intellectual challenge of the University courses and the cultural and physical activities are a delight and make me healthier. Pelican Cove is a feast for the senses. I can't believe how lucky I am to live in a place with so much beauty, color, and exquisite landscape. The people who live here are like family. There is so much support, kindness and laughter. I never have a minute to be bored or lonely. Stimulating, friendship, learning, arts and recreation are words I often use to describe Pelican Cove.
